Schavemaker is the co-founding editor of Amsterdam Museum Journal (AM Journal), the peer reviewed online magazine of the Amsterdam Museum. Together with Dr. Emma van Bijnen she functions as editor-in-chief.

Stedelijk Studies (refereed)

Schavemaker is the founding editor of Stedelijk Studies, the peer reviewed online magazine of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. She functioned as editor-in-chief from 2014-2019.
